And that is what the entire movie was all about. But it was as much a story about Facebook's inception as that of highly talented individuals willing to sell their soul and screw each other over for profit. It's no more than a movie about Facebook than "SAW" is about a handyman tool.

While I definitely agree that the creation of facebook is the most epic subject matter of any of 2010's films, I don't know if I would concur with The Social Network's rank of #1. Sure, it was a very entertaining movie, especially considering the simplicity of a website formation plot. But it failed to blow my mind like some of the other (possibly superior) films of 2010 did, such as Inception or 127 Hours, since each employed far more original devices to drive their respective plots.
